Feyenoord interested in signing Nottingham Forest and Wales star on loan

According to 1908.NL, Feyenoord are interested in signing Nottingham Forest and Wales defender Neco Williams. The current Eredivisie champions are looking to strengthen in defence after a relatively poor first half of the season. The Rotterdam-based club are keen on a loan move for Williams with an option to buy the 22-year-old at the end of the campaign.

Nottingham Forest signed Neco Williams from Liverpool back in the summer of 2022, spending nearly £20m on the full-back. The 37-time Wales international featured 36 times for Forest during his first season at the City Ground. So far this season, he’s featured just eleven times in the Premier League, starting four of those games.

After a recent change in management and a possible punishment on the horizon for allegedly breaching the league’s profit and sustainability rules, Forest could be keen to let player’s leave this month. Neco Williams has impressed in Forest shirt, so it’s possible that he won’t be let go this month. Feyenoord will be an option for the Welshman if he opts for a move away.
