FC Twente winger Václav Černý arrives in Wolfsburg to complete transfer

De Telegraaf are reporting that FC Twente winger Václav Černý is in Wolfsburg to complete his transfer to the Bundesliga club. An agreement between Twente and VfL Wolfsburg will be reached shortly. Černý will then complete his medical and personal negotiations.

Černý has just experienced a superb season in the Eredivisie. The Czech winger scored 15 goals and provided 13 assists in 41 games for Twente. The club finished fifth in the league and topped off the season by qualifying for the Europa Conference League via the playoffs. Last Saturday the 25-year-old scored a brace in the Czech Republic’s 3-0 victory over the Faroe Islands.

Wolfsburg have been showing strong interest in Černý for a while now. The Bundesliga club finished the campaign in eighth place, narrowly missing out on Europa Conference League football for next season. Last weekend Václav Černý revealed that he was open to the move. The transfer will be over the line very soon.
