FC Twente eyeing move for Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri

According to Voetbal International, FC Twente are looking to sign Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri on loan. The 21-year-old winger has struggled for first team game time since his move to Old Trafford in 2020. Twente are one of several sides looking to sign the Uruguayan on loan.

Twente, who finished fifth in the Eredivisie last season and qualified for the Conference League,  have made an official enquiry about Pellistri. The club’s technical director Jan Streuer revealed they were keen on the youngster, but they’ve also got their eyes on other candidates to fill the right-wing role.

Pellistri featured 11 times for Manchester United’s first team last season, providing one assist. His current contract is valid until the summer of 2025. The player was loaned out twice to Deportivo Alavés in the Spanish second tier.

If Facundo Pellistri makes the move to FC Twente, he’ll become the second player from Erik ten Hag’s team to leave Manchester United for the Eredivisie this summer. FC Utrecht have signed Zidane Iqbal on a permanent deal from the Premier League club.
