FC Twente are still interested in Joshua Kitolano, according to club expert Leon ten Voorde of TC/Tubantia on the podcast โDe Ballen Verstandโ. However, Sparta Rotterdam are still too ambitious regarding the transfer fee.
โOne player theyโre still interested in, but whoโs still too expensive, is Kitolano from Sparta,โ the club anaylst says about a potential transfer for the midfielder.
The 23-year-old Norwegian has a contract with the Rotterdam club until the summer of 2026. Itโs unknown how much Sparta are asking for Kitolano. The club paid โฌ600,000 for the midfielder in the summer of 2022 when he signed from Odds BK.
Twente have already strengthened their midfield this summer with the arrivals of Feyenoord man Thomas van den Belt and Ajaxโs Kristian Hlynsson. They also signed Stav Lemkin (Shakhtar Donetsk) and Guilherme Peixoto (Benfica) in defence. Twente have already had to part with Sem Steijn (Feyenoord) and Michal Sadilek (Slavia Prague).
