FC Groningen striker Cyril Ngonge has interest from Eredivisie and EFL Championship clubs

FC Groningen could have a solution to their situation concerning striker Cyril Ngonge with clubs in England and Netherlands thought to be chasing his signature next month, Voetbalkrant reports.

Ngonge, 22, who is still under contract with his current club until 2025, was removed from the first team of the Dutch club due to disciplinary issues from the former PSV Eindhoven player.

The former Belgian U19 international, who started his professional career at Club Brugge, has been linked with a move away from Euroborg Stadion since the issues came to light a fortnight ago.

“Cyril is a talented player, but although he has often been reminded of this, he does not meet the standards and requirements that we set for training and playing football at FC Groningen,” said technical director Mark-Jan Fledderus two weeks ago.

And so a solution is now also being actively sought for the attacker who joined Groningen from RKC Waalwijk last year.

According to his agent, there is interest from the Netherlands and England, where various teams from The Championship are targeting him.
