Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Kortrijk’s Faiz Selemani is set for a move to Saud-Arabia. The Comoros international decided to remain at the club in January to help them remain in the Belgian Pro League, with the understanding that he would then depart in the summer. After months of speculation, it appears that Al-Hazem SC will be his new team. The side are currently managed by Filipe Gouveia from Portugal.
Selemani finished as the sides top scorer this season with eight goals, while he also provided four assists. Since joining Kortrijk from Union St Gilloise in the summer of 2019, the 29-year-old has played 103 games and scored 32 goals. Selemani began his career with Athletico Marseille back in 2014, spending time at Niort, Lorient and AC Ajaccio before moving to Belgium.
Al-Hazem are paying Kortrijk a reported €1.5m and will offer the player a 2-year deal. Kortrijk will certainly have to replace Selemani if they want to avoid a relegation battle again this season.
