Everton are one of two Premier League clubs showing interest in PSV winger Johan Bakayoko

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Everton are one of two Premier League clubs showing serious interest in PSV’s Johan Bakayoko. The Toffees are set to make an official approach this week, but PSV are reluctant to let the winger leave this summer. Napoli and PSG are also reportedly interested in the 20-year-old Belgium international.

Johan Bakayoko featured 39 times in all competitions last season as PSV finished second in the Eredivisie and lifted the KNVB Cup. The academy graduate scored nine goals and provided six assists. Already, Bakayoko has kicked off the new campaign in superb style. The four-time Belgium international provided two assists in his side’s 4-1 victory over Sturm Graz in their Champions League qualification match last week. He also played for 84 minutes in PSV’s 2-0 opening day victory over Utrecht.

Last month, Johan Bakayoko’s management confirmed to Voetbal International that the player is happy at PSV and wants to play and develop each week under Peter Bosz. However, a move to the Premier League definitely wouldn’t be something the player would shy away from. Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Burnley boss Vincent Kompany was an admirer of Bakayoko. There will certainly be plenty of competition in the race to sign the youngster and a high price will be required to make a move happen.
