Erik ten Hag keen to bring Ajax’s Brian Brobbey to Manchester United this month

According to Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United want to sign Brian Brobbey from Ajax this month. Head coach Erik ten Hag wants to be reunited with the 21-year-old striker, despite there still being three-and-a-half years left on the player’s contract.

Brobbey has been a crucial part of the Ajax squad for the last two seasons now. So far this campaign the striker has scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 25 matches. Manchester United are reportedly yet to make contact with Ajax, but the club are definitely keen as long as Erik ten Hag remains in his position as manager of the club.

Brian Brobbey is a target for other clubs across Europe too, with West Ham and Arsenal also keeping tabs on the Netherlands international. Ajax are currently fifth in the Eredivisie after a dreadful start to the campaign, but Brobbey’s goal contributions have helped fire the Dutch giants back up towards the top end of the table.
