Eintracht Frankfurt v Union St Gilloise Preview | Union hoping to keep Europa Conference League campaign going in Germany

Union St Gilloise will travel to Frankfurt with hopes that they can continue their European campaign. After dropping out of the Europa League, the side salvaged a 2-2 draw at home in the first leg, coming back from an early 2-0 deficit. The side now travel to Germany hoping that their comeback will have shifted the momentum of the tie in their favour.

Union come in after a routine win over bottom side Kortrijk at the weekend. With the confidence gained from their victory, they also received a personnel boost. Defender Kevin Mac Allister and striker Gustaf Nilsson are both available for the second leg. Last season Union had great success against German sides, knocking Union Berlin out of the Europa League over two legs. They eventually came unstuck against a strong Bayer Leverkusen side.

Eintracht come in off the back of an entertaining 3-3 draw away to SC Freiburg. Omar Marmoush scored during the first half, while Ansgar Knauff grabbed a brace. His second looked like it might be the winner until Michael Gregoritsch equalised for the home side in the 89th minute. Over their last five Bundesliga games the side have only won once, drawing three and losing one.
