SoccerNews is reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt are interested in bringing NEC Nijmegen head coach Dick Schreuder to the Bundesliga. Eintracht Frankfurt currently have a vacancy at the head coaching position after parting ways with Dino Toppmöller following the sides 3-3 draw with Werder Bremen at the weekend. However, it looks more likely that, if Schreuder were to take over at Eintracht Frankfurt, he wouldn’t do so until the summer.
This would be good news for NEC players and fans after how well the side have been performing this season. After a 4-3 win over struggling NAC Breda at the weekend the club sit in fourth plae, just two points behind Ajax in third and four points behind Feyenoord in second. Last season the side finished in eighth spot. Schreuder took over from long serving head coach Rogier Meijer, who had led the side for a number of seasons. Schreuder joined in the summer from Castellon and has won 11 of his 20 games in charge so far, with five draws and four defeats.
