Eden Hazard could follow Lionel Messi to the MLS

Voetbalkrant are reporting that Eden Hazard could follow Lionel Messi to the MLS. According to reports, the Vancouver Whitecaps are interested in signing the former Chelsea and Lille winger. It is understood by all that Hazard will certainly leave Real Madrid this season after a disappointing spell in Spain. With the player also no longer putting his name in the ring to play for the Belgian national team, a move to the MLS is by no means a bad step at this point in his career.

The 32-year-old began his professional career in France with Lille, where he made 194 games, scoring 50 goals and providing 53 assists. Chelsea made the winger their main target and in the summer of 2012 they brought him to the Premier League. Hazard will go down as one of the best players to grace the turf at Stamford Bridge, where he won two Premier League titles. Over the years he spent in England the Belgian winger made over 300 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 110 goals and providing 92 assists.

After years of speculation he finally left England to join Real Madrid. Unfortunately, Hazard was not able to replicate the form he had shown in England and France for the Spanish giants. He only managed seven goals and four assists for the club.

At international level, Hazard captained Belgium and made 126 appearances, scoring 33 goals.
