Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Dortmund are willing to pay €10m for Anderlecht teenager Julien Duranville. The German side were interested in the summer, but the player wanted to breakthrough with the Mauves before moving on. However, it appears that the decision may be out of the players hands, with Anderlecht in desperate need of cash to fund future transfers.
The transfer is apparently a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if’, with the decision for Anderlecht being whether to hold on until the summer or not. With the player’s contract up in 2024, his value will decrease the longer they wait. It is believed that a move to Dortmund is one that the player himself see’s as his ‘dream’ move.
This winter window has been a busy one in Brussels. Top scorer Fabio Silva, appears to be on his way to PSV, with youngster Lucas Stassin also heavily linked with a move across the other border to France. Anouar Ait El Hadj opted to remain in Belgium, joining league leaders Genk. Anderlecht did manage to bring one player in, with Anders Dreyer joining from Danish side Midtjylland.
