Domenico Tedesco full of praise for Nottingham Forest goalkeeper

Following Belgium’s 2-2 draw with England at Wembley, the Red Devils head coach was full of praise for his goalkeeper Matz Sels. The Nottingham Forest goalkeeper was described as ‘fantastic’ by the Domenico Tedesco. Het Nieuwsblad also reported that Tedesco said that the keeper had nothing to prove to him ahead of the Euros in Germany this summer.

Sels is likely up against Koen Casteels for the chance to be the sides number one during the summer tournament. With no Thibaut Courtois after his injury and subsequent fall out with Tedesco, the chances of being the sides first choice has opened up for many. Casteels has been unable to play in the previous two friendlies due to injury, which has allowed Sels to showcase his talents twice. He managed a penalty save against Ireland in a 0-0 draw before impressing against England.

Sels joined Nottingham Forest in January, ending a prolonged period in French football with Strasbourg.
