Cost of buying Standard Liege following exit of 777 revealed

Kevin Sauvage has revealed that anyone wanting to buy Standard Liege will have to part with €15m. It appears that, following the exit of 777 and a settlement agreed with former owner Bruno Venazi. Standard fans will be glad to hear that some progress is being made and will remain hopeful that the new owners will fare much better than 777 did during their short time in charge. Despite promises, the investors were never able to turn the clubs fortunes around and leave them in a similar, if not slightly worse, state than when they arrived.

Despite the chaos off the pitch, Ivan Leko and his side have somehow had a decent start to the season. They have been pretty poor in attack, but boast the best defence in the league. This is certainly down to the performances of young goalkeeper Matthieu Epolo. The 19-year-old Belgian has been the sides best player this season, and while he still has some ways to go there are glimpses of a bright future ahead for him if he continues to progress.
