Cody Gakpo set to leave PSV – Southampton, Leeds, Everton and Wolves battling to sign him

Cody Gakpo is set to leave PSV in the coming days having pushed for a move, and Southampton, Leeds, Everton and Wolves are battling for his signature.

The Dutch winger has been linked with a move to England all summer, but it looked like he may just stay in Eindhoven when Manchester United and Arsenal cooled their interest.

Entering the final week of the transfer window, only mid-table Premier League clubs were interested in him, with Southampton having a bid rejected, but it has now emerged that he’s keen to join one of them despite the fact that they’re not top sides.

According to Eindhovens Dagblad, it’s probable that he’ll leave his current club this week having set his sights on doing so, with four clubs in contention to sign him.

Those four are Southampton, Leeds, Everton and Wolves, with Man Utd’s interest far less concrete now that they have secured the services of Antony.

Of those four, Southampton are the most interested having already placed a bid, but they’ll have to fork out €10m more than they’d initially offered with PSV only willing to let their player go for €50m.
