Fabrizio Romano is reporting that clubs in England, Germany and Spain are showing interest in a summer move for Bjorn Meijer. The 19-year-old left-back only joined Club Brugge in the summer of 2022 from FC Groningen for around €6.00m. Meijer has gone to to make 33 appearances in all competitions for the side, scoring once and providing five assists.
While the young defender has started to play well in recent matches, Club fans will likely not be too worried about the prospect of losing Meijer. They currently have another left-back out on loan at Westerlo who is the best in his position in the league. Maxim De Cuyper has contributed an impressive seven goals and six assists for the newly promoted side. The player also revealed that in January Club Brugge tried to bring him back to the side for the second half of the season. De Cuyper opted to remain at Westerlo to give himself a better chance to play and develop.
