Clubless Fosu-Mensah trains with Jong Ajax

As per reports from Voetbal International, free agent Timothy Fosu-Mensah (27) is back at Ajax. The right-back has been given the chance to train with Jong Ajax.

Fosu-Mensah has been without a club since leaving Bayer Leverkusen when his contract expired in the summer. Working to put himself in the shop window and improve his fitness, training with Jong Ajax arrives as a valuable opportunity.

Ajax have often allowed former players to do this. Anwar El Ghazi, Christian Eriksen, Urby Emanuelson and Lasse Schöne have all made use of the Amsterdam club’s facilities when trying to reboot their careers.

Fosu-Mensah returns after time with the Ajax youth academy at the start of his career. He left for Manchester United in 2014, before playing for Crystal Palace, Fulham and Leverkusen.
