Club Brugge wanting to bring Hugo Vetlesen to Belgium

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Club Brugge want to bring Hugo Vetlesen to Beglium. The Bodo/Glimt central midfielder joined the club from Stabæk back in 2020 and has won two Norwegian titles. The 23-year-old has played 117 games for the club, scoring 31 goals and providing 35 assists. So far this season he has played eight league games, scoring twice and providing two assists.

The midfielder currently has a contract until 2025, but HNB are reporting that he is keen to move to Belgium. Transfermarkt currently value the Norwegian €4.5m, a price that Club Brugge can afford. Should Vetlesen arrive, he could be the sides fourth transfer of the summer. They have already signed winger Michal Skoras from Lech Poznan, as well as Victor Barbera. Ludogorets striker Igor Thiago is also believed to be arriving imminently.

With one game to go in Belgium, the defending champions can influence the title race when they face Union St Gilloise, who are battling Antwerp and Genk to take the trophy from Club Brugge.
