Club Brugge to be without two key players for match against Atletico Madrid

Club Brugge are to be without Dedryck Boyata and Andreas Skov Olsen for their Champions League match with Atletico Madrid.

The Pro League champions have suffered a number of injuries this season, and their final training session ahead of their match with Atleti made it clear that remains the case.

Boyata wasn’t able to train due to his knee injury while Skov Olsen, one of the club’s players of the season so far, has yet to recover from the illness that prevented him from playing at the weekend and was also absent.

As a result, both aren’t part of the team’s squad for the match on Tuesday but Denis Odoi, who also didn’t train for unknown reasons, is.

So too are Abakar Sylla and Clinton Mata who were both able to train again after missing the weekend match through injury.

If the club can avoid defeat against their Spanish opponents, they’ll be excellently positioned to go through to the next round after winning both of their first two matches.
