Club Brugge set to be without talented Chelsea target for the foreseeable future

Ronny Deila has confirmed ahead of Club Brugge’s clash with Lugano that young teenage talent Antonio Nusa has suffered an injury which will sideline him for the foreseeable future. As reported by Voetbalkrant, the Norwegian head coach confirmed that his compatriot had suffered a back injury that has been troubling him since returning from international duty.

Over the summer, Nusa was the subject of a bid from Premier League club Chelsea. However, in a remarkable turn of events the 18-year-old turned down the English giants in order to stay for at least one more season in Brugge. In nine league matches this season, the forward has scored twice and provided two assists. He has also become a regular Norwegian international, with one goal in four appearances since making his debut in August this year.

Nusa joined Club Brugge back in the summer of 2021 from Stabæk, despite having only played 11 games for the club.
