Club Brugge interested in USMNT striker Timothy Weah

Sebastien Denis is reporting that Club Brugge are interested in out of favour Lille striker Timothy Weah. The United States international is believed to be on the radar of Brighton, Brentford and Sevilla, with the latter also keen on a loan deal instead of a permanent transfer.

Despite the signings of Cyle Larin and Roman Yaremchuck in the summer, Club Brugge are in the market for another striker. Feran Jutgla has been a success but behind him the other strikers in the squad have struggled to find the net when given the opportunity.

Recently appointed Club Brugge head coach Scott Parker has said he is not interested in new signings as he gets to know his new squad, however with the side slipping out of the title race and now in a battle for the top four, the decision to bring in new signings may not be in his hands anymore. The side have seen departures instead, with Arne Engels and former captain Ruud Vormer leaving during the winter transfer window, while Noah Mbamba is joining Bayer Leverkusen.

Weah has played 10 Ligue 1 matches this season without scoring, but has provided two assists.
