Club Brugge eyeing up a return for Napoli winger

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that Club Brugge are looking to bring Cyril Ngonge back to the club. Ngonge, who currently plays for Serie A champions Napoli, was a Club Brugge player as a youngster. The 25-year-old Belgian left the club after making just five appearances as a teenager during the 2018/2019 season. Club are expected to lose Chemsdine Talbi and a few other players this summer and will need reinforcements out wide.

Since leaving Club, Ngonge has played for RKC Waalwijk, where he played one season. After five goals in 21 games he left to join FC Groningen for one and a half seasons. Ngonge played 47 games for the side, scoring 11 goals and grabbing five assists. Hellas Verona brought Ngonge to Italy middway through the 2022/2023 season, where he would spend another year and a half before joining Napoli in 2024. Ngonge played 14 games in his first season and then 21 games last season as the side won the title. He has scored three goals and provided no assists during his time in Naples.
