Club Brugge considering offer for Ludogorets striker Igor Thiago

Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Club Brugge are showing considering a move for Ludogorets striker Igor Thiago. The Brazilian forward scored twice against fellow Belgian Pro League side Anderlecht during the Europa Conference League earlier this year.

The 21-year-old joined the Bulgarian champions from Brazlian side Cruziero back in April 2022, having made 64 appearances for the side and scored 10 goals. At Ludogorets the striker has scored 18 goals in 51 games, including a hat-trick on the 8th of April against Botev Vratsa in just 61 minutes. The side went on to win the game 8-1. In his last eight games, Thiago has scored nine goals.

Currently, the striker is valued at around €1.00m by Transfermarkt, which would certainly be affordable to Club Brugge. However, given his recent form, it is likely that Ludogorets will ask for more than that. The defending Belgian champions are in the market for a new striker after record signing Roman Yaremchuk has struggled since his move from Benfica. In 26 games the striker has scored just twice.

The side are also on the hunt for a new head coach, with Ronny Deila and Philippe Clement both linked.
