Club Brugge attracting interest from American investors

Club Brugge have been up for sale since May of this year. While there has been no rush, HLN are reporting that there has been plenty of interest from America in buying the club. However, there is no expectation that a sale will happen in the near future, at least not until 2024. The side are using the Raine Group, who were responsible for the sale of Chelsea to Todd Boehly.

There is still no clarity on what type of takeover will be sufficient for the current leadership of Club Brugge. There has not been an indication that they would prefer a full takeover or just a minority investment.

On the pitch, Club have been struggling for consistency. They are in seventh place, one below their city rivals Cercle Brugge. This season the top six will be fighting for the title, a position Club Brugge would expect to be in at a minimum this year. After the international break they will face a struggling OH Leuven side, and expectations will be that the blue and black half of Brugge will run out comfortable winners over the side in the bottom four.
