Chelsea’s Noni Madueke set to return to Philips Stadion for final farewell to PSV supporters

PSV have announced that Noni Madueke will return to the Philips Stadion on Sunday to say one last goodbye to supporters. The 21-year-old winger will wave goodbye at halftime during PSV’s home clash against Fortuna Sittard this weekend.

Madueke made the move to Chelsea for close to 40 million euros in January. The former Tottenham academy product has featured eight times in the Premier League so far, scoring once. The Blues are experiencing a bizarre season, having gone through three different managers this campaign. Chelsea are currently 11th in the league having lost seven of their last 10 games in all competitions.

PSV signed Madueke from Tottenham’s academy in the summer of 2018. He made his senior debut for the club aged 17 and went on to spend five seasons in Eindhoven. Madueke scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists in 80 appearances. The youngster made his mark in the Eredivisie and now has the chance to shine in the Premier League. Sunday will be his final farewell to PSV supporters.
