With just one year left on his contract, it appears that Charleroi’s Nikola Stulic is on his way out. The Serbian forward is, according to HLN, on his way to Lecce in Serie A. Lecce have offered the Zebras a fee of around €6m for the 23-year-old Serbian forward. Lecce had initially offered the side just €5m, with Charleroi hoping for a fee nearer to €8m instead. However, clearly the sides have come to an agreement that does not quite meet what the Zebras had been hoping for. Lecce began their Serie A campaign with a 0-0 draw away to Genoa.
Despite a slow start to his career in Belgium, Stulic had a breakout season last year. After only scoring one goal in his first season and a half at the club, the 2024/2025 campaign saw the Serbian net 16 goals in just 29 games. So far this season he already has two in five. He now joins a Lecce side that finished last year in 17th place.
In anticipation of Stulic departing, Charleroi brought in Aurelien Scheidler from Dender. The 27-year-old former Andorra man scored nine goals in 32 games for the newly promoted side last season.
