Charleroi looking to negotiate reduced fee for Club Brugge striker Youssouph Badji

Voetbalkrant are reporting that Charleroi are looking to strike a deal to sign Youssouph Badji on a permanent basis. The Senegalese striker spent last season on loan with the Zebras from Club Brugge. The loan agreement did include a purchase option of €2.7, but Charleroi are not willing to pay that amount. Instead, both sides are willing to sit down and negotiate a lower fee. Club Brugge have already made a number of signings this summer and it appears that they want to move on from 21-year-old Badji.

The striker struggled early on in the season at Charleroi, only scoring one goal before the winter break. Ironically, his second goal came against parent side Club Brugge in January, before he went on to end the season with five goals. It was clear he had regained confidence and that may see him come of age next season if he returns to the Zebras.
