Bristol City loan former Rangers and Manchester City youngster from Westerlo

Westerlo have confirmed that Adedire Mebude has joined Bristol City on loan. The 19-year-old winger has joined the EFL Championship side until the end of the season with a purchase option included. Mebude only joined Westerlo in the summer, but leaves the club after just three games in the Belgian Pro League.

Mebude, who has been capped at youth level by Scotland, has been part of the Rangers academy before joining Manchester City in the summer of 2020.

Westerlo have been reasonably active in the transfer window in January. So far they have brought in Romeo Vermant on loan from Club Brugge, with the youngster already having scored twice in his first two games. They have also signed Iranian winger Allahyar Sayyadmanesh from Hull City. The 22-year-old signed a contract with the club for two and a half years.

Sayyadmanesh started his career with Esteghlal before joining Fenerbahce in the summer of 2019. He only made three appearances for the Turkish side, with loan spells at Zorya and Istanbulspor as well as Hull. He has also made seven appearances for the Iranian national team.
