Bournemouth announce the signing of Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez from AZ Alkmaar

Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of Milos Kerkez from AZ Alkmaar. The 19-year-old Hungary international has become the Premier League clubs third summer signing, after Justin Kluivert joined from AS Roma and Romain Faivre made a move from Lyon.

Milos Kerkez is one of the hottest prospects in Europe at the moment. The teenager moved from AC Milan’s academy to AZ Alkmaar in January 2022. Since then he’s featured 57 times in all competitions for the Dutch club, scoring five goals and providing eight assists. The Hungarian international was also part of the AZ squad that beat Lazio in both legs of the Europa Conference League round of 16. Kerkez scored the winner in the first leg.

Less than a week ago, Kerkez looked set to sign for Lazio, with the player and club agreeing on personal terms. Bournemouth hijacked the move and quickly completed the signing. This could prove to be a brilliant bit of business from Bournemouth.
