Boost for KV Oostende as Fraser Hornby returns for relegation clash with Kortrijk

KV Oostende have received a boost ahead of their relegation clash with Kortrijk as Fraser Hornby returns from injury and has been included in the matchday squad. Hornby suffered a shoulder injury at the end of December that has kept him out of crucial games against the likes of Seraing and KV Mechelen.

Hornby joined Oostende on loan from Ligue 1 side Reims in the summer. The 23 year-old Scottish striker has gone on to score five goals in 12 games, as well as providing one assist. He is the current top scorer for the side, with one goal more than David Atanga, Thierry Ambrose and Nick Batzner who have four each.

Ambrose is interesting Hull City, with both player and Oostende willing to facilitate the move. In terms of incoming, Oostende side have been incredibly active during the winter transfer window, bringing in a number of players as they look to reverse the team’s fortunes. Kelvin Arase recently joined form Karlsruher on loan until the end of the season.

Striker Ivan Durdov, defender Matej Rodin and midfielder Pierre Dwomoh have all joined in recent weeks.
