Blow for KV Mechelen as top scorer set to mish clash with Westerlo

KV Mechelen are set to be without their top scorer for the clash with Westerlo on Tuesday evening. Benito Raman suffered an injury during the first half of their defeat to Charleroi at the weekend. The lack of time between the Charleroi match and the upcoming one with Westerlo means that Mechelen will have to do without the 30-year-old. Raman has been a fantastic signing for the club this season, scoring a career high 15 goals in 29 games.

In his place, the side will hope that Lion Laberbach can pick up the slack. The striker has played well during the play-offs so far, with three goals in four games. He has scored six goals in 31 games so far this campaign, one more than he managed during his debut season for the club last year.

After their defeat to Charleroi at the weekend, Mechelen need to bounce back if they have ambitions of winning the play-offs and competing for the final European ticket.
