The exodus from Ajax is getting underway. After Jakov Medic, Borna Sosa, Kristian Hlynsson and Christian Rasmussen, Sivert Mannsverk could be the next to leave Ajax: with Blackburn Rovers interested.
Mannsverk was loaned to Cardiff City last season, where he regained his form after a reserve role at Ajax and months of injury. Despite the Bluebirds’ relegation to League One, Blackburn now want to buy him from Ajax, with talks said to be “ongoing”.
Mannsverk could therefore be the next to leave Amsterdam. Officially, only Medic (Norwich City) and Kristian Hlynsson (FC Twente) have gone before him so far, but Christian Rasmussen (Fortuna Düsseldorf) will also leave, as will Borna Sosa, who successfully passed his medical at Crystal Palace on Tuesday and will sign a three-year contract, with an option for another year.
