Besiktas have completed the signing of El Bilal Touré. The striker was heavily linked with Feyenoord, but has opted for a Turkish adventure.
The 23-year-old Touré has joined Besiktas on loan from Atalanta. For the Bergamo club, Touré has played a total of 17 games across all competitions, registering three goals.
He was on loan at VfB Stuttgart last season and scored the same amount in coincidentally the same number of all-competition games. Before that, he turned out for Almería and Stade de Reims. He has nine goals in 25 international outings for Mali.
While reports suggest that the Mali attacker decided midway through last week that he wanted to join Feyenoord, a new rival suddenly appeared, causing the club to immediately increase his salary and loan fee. This made Feyenoord disregard the move relatively quickly.
Besiktas now have their man in what they describe as “a temporary transfer with a conditional purchase option.”
