As reported by Elian Coussement, Bernd Storck has demoted Lyon loanee Habib Keita to the Kortrijk B squad. Keita joined on loan for a season in the summer of 2022 and has gone on to make 21 appearances in all competitions for Kortrijk, scoring once and providing two assists. However, despite some decent performances under former head coach Adnan Custovic and Karim Bellochine, the Malian midfielder has struggled to find a spot under Storck. Now it appears that 21-year-old Keita is joining a number of others as being sent away from the first team.
Over the past month, Aleksandar Radovanović, Kevin Vandendriessche and on loan Antwerp defender Dorian Dessoleil have been training with the B team. Radovanović is rumoured to be joining Columbus Crew on loan in the near future.
Despite a promosing start under Storck, Kortrijk are struggling once again. After their 1-0 defeat to Sint-Truiden at the weekend, KV Kortrijk have now won just one of their past five games in the league.
