Belgium’s Group F opponents three out of three for warm-up wins

Ahead of the Qatar World Cup, all three of the Red Devil’s Group F opponents won their respective warm-up matches. Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric came off the bench for Croatia to give them a narrow 1-0 win over Saudi Arabia, who are in Group C alongside Lionel Messi’s Argentina, Robert Lewandowski’s Poland and World Cup favourite Guillermo Ochoa’s Mexico.

Canada left it late to beat Japan 2-1, thanks to goals from Steven Vitoria of Chaves and a 95th minute from Vancouver Whitecaps Lucas Daniel Cavallini from the penalty spot. Canada will be making their World Cup debut in Qatar, with their opening game being against Belgium on the 23rd of November. Japan are tough group, with the likes of Germany, Costa Rica and Spain.

Morocco eased to a 3-0 victory over Georgia, thanks to a close range finish from Youssef En-Nesyri, a goal from his own half from Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech and a penalty from Angers 29 year-old attacker Sofiane Boufal.

Belgium will face Egypt in their warm-up game on the 18th of November, with Leandro Trossard and Jan Vertonghen missing due to injury.
