Het Nieuwsblad are reporting that Beerschot are closing in on highly rated South African youngster Siviwe Magidigidi. The 20-year-ld will move to the Belgian second tier for around โฌ350k, although the final fee could rise to โฌ400k depending on bonuses. Magidigidi is already in Belgium ahead of the move and was seen watching Beerschotโs home victory over struggling Olympic Charleroi at the weekend. According to the report, Magidigidi hopes that he can convince Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos to take him to the 2026 World Cup. South Africa qualified for the competition for the first time since they hosted the tournament in 2010.
Magidigidi will leave Siwelele FC in the top flight of South African football. The striker has played 12 games in the league this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist. Magidigidi came through the Ubuntu Cape Towna nd SuperSport set ups before leaving to join Siwelele FC at the start of the current season. Clearly Beerschot have been impressed with the forward and see potential in him.
