Barcelona’s Memphis Depay and Juventus are now “really close” to reaching a verbal agreement on personal terms.
Barcelona are looking to sell Memphis this summer, and the Dutchman has started to negotiate the termination of his contract with them in recent weeks.
Juventus have emerged as his most likely destination, with the Italian club extremely keen on adding him to their ranks and the forward keen on joining.
They verbally offered him a two-year contract earlier this week, and Fabrizio Romano has reported that the two parties are now close to agreeing the terms of it.
The Italian journalist says that only once Memphis has put pen to paper on such a contract will he terminate his current deal with Barca.
“Juventus will send official proposal to Memphis Depay in the next few days, as verbal agreement is really close on length of contract/salary. Talks at key stages,” he tweeted.
“Memphis will terminate his contract with Barça only once agreement with Juve is completed and sealed.”
