Hugo Bueno is experiencing an exceptional spell on loan at Feyenoord. The 22-year-old Spaniard has featured 10 times across all competitions, providing three assists. Impressive performances have led to interest from Barcelona, who are currently keeping tabs on the full-back, according to Sport. The Spain U21 international has been identified as a possible backup to Alejandro Baldé.
Prior to joining Feyenoord on loan, Hugo Bueno had spent his entire professional career at Wolves, where he rose through the ranks in their youth academy before making 49 first-team appearances. A lack of regular game time last season prompted the Premier League side to send him out on loan.
Transfermarkt currently values the defender at just €6m, but come the end of the campaign that could rise significantly. Wolves may decide to keep hold of Bueno, with Gary O’Neil’s side currently struggling defensively. A potential move to Barcelona would most likely only occur next summer.
