AS Monaco loanee Radosław Majecki comes up clutch with third penalty save of the season

Cercle Brugge’s on loan Polish goalkeeper Radosław Majecki made his third penalty save of the season to rescue a point for his side against KV Mechelen. The on loan Monaco goalkeeper denied Yonas Malede in the 86th minute as the 10 men of Cercle held on to draw 1-1 away from home.

Kevin Denkey had grabbed his sixth league goal of the season in the opening three minutes of the game, yet after a Olivier Deman red card in the 52nd minute Cercle were up against it. This was Deman’s second red card in the space of a week, as the Belgian youngster was sent off in the Cup match against Gent earlier in the week.

Nikola Storm got his first goal of the season on the 71st minute, however thanks to Majecki the home side were unable to get all three points against the 10 men. As a result, Cercle moved into the play-offs while Mechelen remain in 14th place, just six points off the relegation zone.
