Eupen have announced that 23-year-old German goalkeeper Lennart Moser has left the club by mutual consent. With the arrival of Chelsea’s young goalkeeper Garbiel Slonina, Moser became the sides third choice behind Abdul Manaf Narudeen. Moser joined the side from Union Berlin last summer, going on to make 31 appearances and being the sides number one between the posts.
The German keeper began his career at Union berlin, but never made a first team appearance for the side. He spent time on loan at Energie Cottbus, Cercle Brugge and SK Austria Klagenfurt. He managed to keep five clean sheets for Eupen during his time at the club.
Under new head coach Florian Kohfeldt, Eupen have been one of the surprise packages of the season so far. One of the favourites for relegation, the side are currently fourth and have only lost one game, which was at home to Club Brugge. they have beaten Genk, Kortrijk and OH Leuven. In the opening game they were 2-0 up before drawing 2-2 to Westerlo.
