Arne Slot set to join Tottenham Hotspur if agent Rafaela Pimenta can negotiate with Feyenoord

Arne Slot is set to join Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur from Feyenoord if his agent Rafaela Pimenta can reach an agreement with his current club, according to the Daily Mail.

The 44-year-old coach guided his current club to win the Eredivisie title and has long been linked to the Spurs job since Antonio Conte left the club.

The Dutchman is thought to be the preferred choice for Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy but as far as Dennis te Kloese is concerned – the club have yet to discuss terms with the Eredivisie champions.

It is understood that Slot has a £5 million release clause in his contract but cannot be activated until next summer and Feyenoord are keen to keep him after lifting the Eredivisie title for the first time in six years.

A deal could be reached if Tottenham meet the demands Feyenoord have set in terms of compensation which is thought to be in the region of £10 million.

If successful, Slot will bring over his assistant manager Marino Pusic and will get Spurs to join in the race to sign Orkun Kokcu with Liverpool also in the mix for the £40 million-rated midfielder.
