Antwerp and Zulte Waregem in discussions around swapping Ortwin De Wolf and Louis Bostyn

According to Het Nieuwsblad, Antwerp and Zulte Waregem are in conversations about swapping goalkeepers. The paper is reporting that Zulte Waregem would like to bring Ortwin De Wolf, the current back-up keeper with the Great Old, to the club. In exchange, Zulte Waregem will send Louis Bostyn the other way to fill the space left by De Wolf.

De Wolf joined Antwerp from Eupen back in February 2021 on loan to cover for the injured Jean Butez. The now 25 year-old then signed a permanent deal with the club in the summer of 2021 for an undisclosed fee. The Belgian goalkeeper began his career with the now defunct Lokeren, before moving to Eupen in the summer of 2019 for around 750,000 euros.

Bostyn recently regained the starting spot for Zulte Waregem, having lost it part way through last season to the experienced Sammy Bossut. In seven matches so far this season, Bostyn has conceded 17 goals. The 29 year-old, who is under contract until 2024, has been with Zulte Waregem since the summer of 2014.

Zulte Waregem have been active so far in the transfer window, bringing in Ruud Vormer and Christian Brüls to bolster their relegation battle.
