Antwerp and Radja Nainggolan agree contract termination

HLN are reporting that Antwerp and Radja Nainggolan have agreed a mutual termination of the 34 year-olds contract. Nainggolan has training with the B team after multiple breaches of discipline, including a speeding fine and being caught smoking prior to the match against Standard Liege. The experienced international is now free to negotiate with a new team, with the MLS and Italy being potential destinations.

Nainggolan signed a two year deal last summer with Antwerp, however given his recent actions Paul Gheysens, the owner of the Great Old, has stated he regrets bringing the player to Belgium. The former Inter midfielder played 55 games for Antwerp in all competitions, scoring six goals and providing five assists.

Antwerp are currently third in the league under head coach Mark Van Bommel, who joined the club in the summer. They are also through to the quarter-finals of the domestic cup after beating Standard Liege 4-0.
