Antwerp and Club Brugge considering move for former Crystal Palace and Chelsea forward

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that both Antwerp and Club Brugge are considering a move for 30-year-old forward Michy Batshuayi. The Belgian international has only played seven games in the Turkish Super Lig for Fenerbahçe this season, without finding the net. He joined the Turkish side after six seasons with Chelsea.

During his time in London, the striker spent most of his time out on loan. He played for the likes of Dortmund and Valencia, as well as two spells with Crystal Palace. Batshuayi began his career in Belgium with Standard Liege, where he played 120 games and scored 44 goals. This earned him a move to Marseille, where he played 78 games in two seasons and scored 33 goals. For Chelsea, the striker scored 25 goals in 77 games, but struggled to become a first team regular.

Batshuayi has a very good record for the Belgian national team. In 53 appearances he has scored an impressive 27 goals. Both Antwerp and Club Brugge are looking at bringing in a new striker in January with a view to putting their respective title challenges back on course.
