Antonio Nusa turns down Chelsea to remain at Club Brugge

HLN have revealed that Antonio Nusa turned down a move to Chelsea in order to remain in Belgium with Club Brugge. The 18-year-old Norwegian was subject of late interest from the Premier League side, but would rather remain in Belgium to develop further. Under new head coach Rony Deila, the young attacker has seen an increase in game time. In the sides recent 7-1 dismantling of RWDM, Nusa ran the show alongside Andreas Skov Olsen.

The young attacking midfielder, who is also eligible to play for Nigeria, joined Club Brugge from Stabæk in the summer of 2021 for around €3m. Nusa had only played 13 games for the Norwegian side before moving to Belgium. Since then, he has made 44 appearances for Club Brugge, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

Club Brugge have had a strong start to the domestic season, winning three and drawing one. They also just managed to qualify for the Conference League thanks to a dramatic comeback against Osasuna. The side were 2-0 down at home but brought it back to 2-2 to go through 4-3 on aggregate.
