Another summer signing gone for Kortrijk as midfielder moves to Japanese second tier

Kortrijk have announced that another one of their summer signings has left the club. Tomoki Takamine joined the side in the summer but after just six months is leaving. He is set to move to Japan and join second tier side Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. The 27-year-old played for Consadole Sapporo for a number of seasons and be hoping he can help the side regain promotion to the top flight after their relegation this year.

Takamine will be adding to the 114 appearances for the side that he made between 2019 and 2022. He then left the side to join Kashiwa Reysol, making 54 appearances before moving to Europe and joining Kortrijk. Takamine was actually a regular for the side this season, playing 21 times across the league and cup. However, Kortrijk have struggled and are clearly trying to move players out of the club to be able to bring some in. Takamine is just the second to move to Japan, with another summer signing in Takuro Kaneko joining Urawa Red Diamonds.

The club also look set to lose goalkeeper Tom Vandenberghe, who is going to join Gent as a back-up to their first choice Davy Roef.
