Another assist for Wolves loanee Hugo Bueno as Spaniard continues fantastic form with Feyenoord

Hugo Bueno has experienced an excellent start to life at Feyenoord since his arrival on loan from Wolves in the summer. The defender has featured seven times so far this season with five Eredivisie appearances and two coming in the Champions League. On Sunday afternoon the Spaniard made his mark by providing another assist in his side’s 2-0 win over Utrecht. That’s now his third assist of the season having played every game at left-back.

Bueno played a pivotal part in getting Feyenoord over the line against Utrecht, not only did he chip in with a goal contribution but he also finished the match with the highest pass accuracy (100% – 33/33). The 22-year-old was also the most fouled player in the match which shows just how much of a handful he was down the left flank.

Wednesday’s midweek win in the Champions League was also a big one for Bueno. He featured for 88 minutes in Feyenoord’s 3-1 victory over Benfica, accumulating nine ball recoveries, three interceptions and two clearances. The Rotterdam club are now third in the Eredivisie table and 16th out of 36 in the Champions League standings. A remarkable start for Hugo Bueno.
