Club Brugge star Andreas Skov Olsen continued his fine start to the season as he played 80 minutes against Finland. Denmark won 1-0 thanks to a late Pierre-Emile Højbjerg goal. Denmark now sit second in their group, level on points with Slovenia, as well as goal difference. Finland are a point behind, alongside Kazakhstan who beat Northern Ireland.
Skov Olsen created one chance, while also completing 92% of his passes. The winger has made 29 appearances for the Danish national team, scoring eight goals since making his debut in 2020. The 23-year-old has been in good form for his club side, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the opening five league games. Since joining Club Brugge from Bologna in January 2022, Skov Olsen has scored 22 goals in 57 games.
Denmark’s next game in Euro qualification will be against Kazakhstan on the 14th of October at home, followed by an away trip to San Marino.
