Anderlecht set to spend €8m on Argentinian youth international Santiago Hezze

Frabirzio Romano is reporting that Anderlecht are set to spend €8m on Argentinian youth international Santiago Hezze. The 21-year-old central midfielder currently plays for CA Huracán in the top flight of Argentine football. He has played 20 league games this season, scoring twice. The Buenos-Aires born midfielder usually operates as a defensive midfielder, but can play further forward if needs be.

Hezze made his debut for CA Huracán in 2020 and has gone on to make 115 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists.

Anderlecht have also been linked with a move for Danish international striker Kasper Dolberg of Nice. It’s believed that he could cost as little as €4.5m. The striker spent the 2022/2023 season on loan at Sevilla and Hoffenheim.

The side are also expected to see players leave. Bart Verbruggen is attracting interest from both Brighton and Burnley. Recent reports have suggested that it is Brighton who are leading the race to sign the highly rated goalkeeper.
