Anderlecht will only allow Sergio Gomez to leave the club for a fee of at least €15 million with Manchester City pushing to sign the player.
Gomez, one of the best players in Belgium last season, has become a target for Pep Guardiola’s side in recent weeks as they search for a new left-back after they missed out on Marc Cucurella, who instead joined Chelsea.
While he may be keen to join the English club though, Anderlecht are in no rush to sell him with his contract not expiring until 2025.
According to Het Laatste Nieuws, they will only accept an offer if it’s least worth at least €15 million, otherwise they will keep him for the season.
Gomez himself reportedly has no issue with this, with the publication stating he remains professional and motivated at his current club.
Given the riches they have and their desperate need for a left-back, it would be a surprise if Manchester City don’t offer the requested amount.
